Coordinated and Colaborated Mountain Updates Thread.

louise update,

louise is officially opening on nov 10, and they just started snow making!,thats t-minus 19 days till skiing everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yyyyeeyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

w/e i just cant wait to get some turns in, and to screw around on all of the side jumps and fun spots while dodging peps

it the tables a good 50-70ft id saya good 50% of the kids in the programs will hit the booter...but i do have to agree, if its 80ft i don't think more than a handful will in which case its sort of pointless to put that much money into it

dude like 9 kids just on souther will do tricks off a 80 foot table.

Anways my dad was at COP on thursday and he said they werent making snow but they were definitatly working on building stuff on the left side. Its cold enought that they could start making snow for the park, but i dont think they are.

sunshines webcams are finally white and it looks like the snow is there to stay this time

whoa like 20 ppl max hitting this supposed 80 footer...think about it...would cop put that much time and money and upkeep into a jump that they're going to have to have monitored when those kids aren't hitting it??

like maintaining something like that isn't cheap...plus they're going to need extra security watching the jump when the clubs aren't on it...lighting...etc etc etc

sure a few kids will hit it...but is making an 80 footer worth the investment over making a really nice regular comp size like 50 or 60 footer??

you dont have to moniter it at all, just put fencing in front of the jump and on the landing. theres always an employe there who would catch you before you can open it to hit.

Also why would we want regular sized jumps. its not like its a slopstyle table. its a big air jump, for big air comps. Big air jumps SHOULD be massive.

i hope they make it and let me hit it, if regular non team riders dont get to hit it then its fuckin pointless

if you have insurance you would definatly be able to hit it at competitions. but like probably not most of the time, im not sure though.

umm in case you dont notice already there is about 5 inches on the ground (at least in my yard). and the weather network says we should get 15 cm tonight but i dont think we will get that much... i hope so though

yea sure it should be comp size...but what big air comps in alberta do you know of that use tables bigger than 60ft for competition?? and yea, the airsite is only going to be openeded and operated for teams and clubs...no general public...

yea i phoned them today and they have been blowing pretty much non- stop. and htere should be rails open in the next week or two.

check out cop's website, they have a bunch of new pics of all the snow and snowmaking, and louise has a bunch of new pics as well!

uhh.. I hate to be a skeptic but sunshine has only a 40 something centimeter base. They need a lot more snow to open. Like at least 30 centimeters. It even says so on their website but they seem to be optomistic, even if it is only cautiously so. Check the snow report if you don't believe me.

cause and effect is something we invent in our minds, it is not real. It's like saying the sun will rise tomorrow morning because it has risen every morning before. This is called induction and induction betrays us.

So just because Sunshine has managed to open every year before at this time does not mean it will this year. You are inducing it will open based on the cause and effect you invent in your mind, and this will betray you, if not know then later.

friedchesse. no one listens to you talk about a bunch of shit. so just stop wasting you time. sorry but someone had to say it. this thread is about posting news on the resorts not pissing everyone else off.

cop is blowing snow right now, i was just there.

In fact they are blowing so much snow that the surrounding buildings (gymnastics centre) has NO water.

i really want sunshine to open on time but if not cop will for fure be good
