Cool places to camp in CO

Hey guys/girls of CO. I'm in desperate need of some nature infused soul searching and am looking for a nice place to post up for the rest of the summer....
i want - a river or lake reasonably close- a skate park nearby (just incase soul searching gets boring)- and... well thats about it
right now I'm thinking of just heading up to winter park and camping at idlewild or robbers roost(these have running clean water too which is a plus). I stayed at this really nice place in crested butte called cement creek too... but thats a long drive
oo quality mountain biking would be nice too

Sorry man, I have a great spot but I really don't want anyone else to know where it is! I just stumbled across this sweet place on a long hike one day, and it has all the elements of greatness - the most important being privacy and hard to find access.
 
Hey if you want to drive a little bit Telluride has some of the best stuff that you are talking about, i would check it out if i were you.
 
Summit County! And the Gore Range! Gore Range is everything north of Buffalo until Kremmling. AWESOME camping!! (but you have to hike a ways in sometimes). My favs. are up near Salmon Lake, Upper Boulder Lake, or any of the drainages really.

But when you need to come out for a shower, skating, mtn. biking, or food, Silverthorne will have you covered. Plus, there is Lake Dillon if you want a free shower
 
green mountain resivour...lake for swimming, with cliffs to jump off. and not far from silvy so you can get your skate on as well.
 
I'm sold baby that sounds awesome.
...anybody in that area willing to show a little green love ; ) id make it worth your while....
 
P.S. which campsite is closet to cliff entertainment you think....?

sick, green mtn. res looks really sweet. some friends and i have been wanting to go camping somewhere like this for a while now. looking like this is the winner!
 
drove around it today cause i was hangin out at a cabin up by key.... looks real nice, i think im gonna camp at willows. the cliffs are awesome too, got to see some redneck try a front flip off the smaller one, overrotate+twist to side smack ha.
