Convinced the girlfriend to move to Colorado! Need gear for her

She snowboards now but wants to try skiing too. So I'm looking for skis and boots. She's 5'6, size 6.5 shoe and hasn't skied in years. Open to suggestions too.
 
how much do you have to spend? and is she a 6.5 women's sneaker? also, do they fit snug on her feet or are they comfy shoes. I have lots of options just let me know how much your looking to spend.
 
Enough that she enjoys it without the restriction of sub-par gear and not enough that if she doesn't like it I feel like an asshole for shelling out loads of cash. That help?

She is a womens 6.5. I don't know what "comfy" is to a woman. She constantly complains about the shoes she wears but they all "look good" so idfk... She won't be comfortable in a properly fitted ski boot after coming from snowboard boots.
 
I have a pair of 156 09/10 Line Chronics in good condition w/ bindings and I'll let them go for fairly cheap. PM me!
