Convince me: Boulder or Uof Utah

If you actually want to ski then utah, if you're a hard core partier that thinks drinking 2-3 more beers in a night sucks then go to boulder. Boulder seems like more of a "college" to me than utah even though we still throw down pretty hard in utah too, im sure partying in boulder is 10 times better. But, utah its a 30 min drive to skiing vs 1 and a half hours to 3 hours. Thats basically it when it comes to drinking/skiing i dunno about which school is better for you or anything.

depends on a lot of things. money, skiing, academics, all that

for skiing, i think U of U has better skiing (Pootah pow) and closer skiing

i also think UofU is cheaper

as for acedemics, im not sure, i know where boulder is but not where Utah is.

if they were basically totally equal in everything, i would say U of U for skiing

If you want to ski, go to Utah.

When ever I am in boulder I feel it's more like SOCAL than Colorado, I swear nearly 50% of the kids there are from California.

there are other places to go to school other than U of U and Boulder where you could ski, I suggest doing a little more research.

slight thread jack here. my hope / dream is to be living in UT within the next 1-2 years. question for the U of U locals. how far is to far away to live from the campus? i am talking from a commuting to class viewpoint, the "college life" is not the determining factor in a location choice.

If i were you I would stay the fuck away from Utah. All i have ever heard is how shitty that place is. Also, the U campus is not safe

They are good schools too? I chose my schools based on what I like to do, what courses they offer, and the school atmosphere generally. I like both schools.

T_rob- yeah, I get that a lot. It's the teacher thing in my name. I ski instructed when I made the account.

"peace, love" whatever happened to this bro. I wasn't hating just telling my opinion. I mean that gas leak today was pretty sketchy
++k though

im sorry i just strongly dislike people who hate on utah because the majority of them have never lived there before in their lives

just the overall atmosphere. there are a couple independent record shops in town and the campus at CU is beautiful. they have a really good sports traditioin, at least in football, and attending those games is ridiculous. and the skiing here is pretty darn good, you have resorts like keystone and breck which have some of the bestestest parks eva, where a lot of the pros ride, and places to ski for some fun big mountain and pow. and as i said the city of boulder is my favorite place to be it is jam.

not to mention all the amazing shows in boulder/denver/red rocks... i like boulder a lot. campus is beautiful, people are really nice if you hang out with the right crowd. greek life is pretty good if youre into that and skiing is great and you'll meet all kinds of people that are into the same thing you are most likely. awesome hiking right in your backyard, parties are great. cops do suck dick in boulder. the herbs are superb. ssexy ladies everywhere. i dunno anything about UofU but boulder is the tits
