I have a strong opinion not to buys skis that are made in China because of the lack of long term qualitly as well as taking advantage of underpaid employees while not making the skis any cheaper for the consumers.

I know that all skis made and owned by K2 are made in China

Companies I know of K2 & Volkl

I believe that the smaller local companies and the ones which pay their employees fairly should be supported.

Want to know if there are any good cases out there to convince me to support these companies that have their skis made in China.

if it goes against your ethics than don't but durability of chinese skis matters more about the brand not point of origin.

The only argument is performance. If there is a ski that is so good you are willing to look past your "china" issues then you will be convinced. Otherwise.... Plenty of other sticks out there to ride that were not made in china.

China's exporting business is the reason they have been managed to grow at 12% but recently dropped down to 7-8% although this is still relatively high compared to other countries. Manufacturing is China's main exporting component. With lower production costs they can shift the production possibility frontier to greater produce more quantity at a lower price. Also with these lower production costs companies like line and K2 can better invest in capital equipment also can better invest in ski research and development.
