Converting .mts to .mp4 or .mov

Took some shots with a camera, went to upload it, turns out it shoots in .mts format. Any way to convert this on a mac to .mp4 or .mov? Looked on the internet to find no useful information

Anyone's 2 cents would me much appreciated

You could use Wondershare converter which will convert a .mts file into any other file

Log and transfer will only work if you copied the full folder structure off the camera with the mts files.
Otherwise this is what I do.
1) Download Rewrap2M4V and convert the mts to M4V.2) Import into Final Cut2a) If it's interlaced, use some sort of deinterlacing filter.3) Batch export to mov4) Use MPEG Streamclip and convert to Prores 422.
