Contest voting and participants

Didn't really know what to name the thread.

Anyway, it seems like in contests that have voting everyone who submits to the contest just rates everyone else's submission a 1. I think if you enter into a contest you shouldn't be allowed to vote on other peoples submissions. Only people who don't enter the contest should be allowed to vote.

It's not as big of a deal for bigger contests, but for small ones like the kombi glove with not too many people voting it makes a huge difference

agreed, this is definitely a problem worth addressing. it's almost an advantage to be the last one to submit your edit because it has the least amount of time to get fucked with.i feel like giving an alloted submission time AND and a separate voting time would help make things a bit more fair, for at least this part of the problem
