There's already a skatepark in burlington. Why not vote for a program that helps refugees living in the North End learn english instead of wasting money on upgrading a giant toy for privileged high schoolers and college kids?

oh wait because you want a bigger toy. Theres lots of idiot college kids pushing this at UVM because they want their playtown to be even BIGGER! Not that they break bottles in the streets, litter everywhere and make noise disturbances for families living in town to deal with without giving a shit because hey they live on campus and can are just fucking tourists at daycamp+sex and drinking or anything.

So i'm going to go with a No vote on this one, that money could be spent doing something helpful for those struggling in the community.

I just thought I would help out some nice people I met on Saturday in Burlington who are pushing for this issue. They're pretty dedicated to their cause. As for me, I don't even skate.

ah well the park is set to be demolished and replaced with this because it's falling apart, not just added on from what is on the town site. Also they already have it planned and are building it anyways. I stand by my statement about drunken college sluts though.

I voted, but my fear is that it will be treated like Redrocks. Drunk dumbasses smashing glass everywhere and litter, almost ruin an incredible spot. If we can keep it clean and treat it like privilege and not something that were entitled to I believe it will be treated more as a community center and less like douchebag HQ.
