Contemplating getting Line Blends in addition to Step-ups. +K for help

I have the ability of getting some Line products from a rep for a nice discount and am looking at getting Step-ups in the 181.

I also need a pow ski and am contemplating getting the Blend in a 183. This is because:

-All available Sir Francis Bacon's are not in my size

-Opus is only available in 178s

-I own K2 Seth-vicious, which are identical in underfoot

-It's an all mountain ski

FYI, I'm 5'11" and 160lbs.

Suggestions or some insight?

the step ups are definatly a good bet, i know many people who ride them over the a-bangs, including George walton uk line team rider. my freind rides last years bends when riding pow,and say they handle very well he rides the length you are talking about and is about the same size and weight as you

the blends are pretty darn awesome and ski really well in a surprising variety of conditions. you will be stoked.

I have basically the exact same set up as you! I've been rocking last years step-ups and seth vicious' (from forever ago) and love both skis. This year I picked up Abangs and Blends (also a sweet deal from Line, making both skis very affordable).

To be honest the seth and the blend are nothing alike........they have similar dimensions but that's about it. However, I'm super stoked on the Blend.....it feels like a blown up chronic with rocker and more flex. It's not gonna charge like the seth, but it'll slash moderate pow and will be playful all over. That being said, I'd put it on the park end of the all mtn spectrum (mostly due to super soft flex). It's just a very different ski than the seth, but if you're looking for a change it's a good option.

I had the 169cm Seth's so mine didn't charge as well as a longer length. But, I think it's what I'm going to get as a pow ski. I ski more trees than open bowls, so the 100 underfoot will do nicely.

Where do you have them mounted?

I haven't mounted them yet.....I've heard center is fine, but I'm gonna measure to see if the tip and tail rocker are identical. I rock my seth's at -2 from center....I'll most likely stick to that on the blends.

get the opus if you MUST get line skis... if you already have a park ski why buy an all mountain? get a real pow ski then bring both pairs with you to the mtn...

I was think that would be a good spot. I had the Seth's at a +3 because of the smaller size and I didn't like the small tail. The more I think of it, the closer to center I will probably go.

A major objective for me is a ski that can handle forwards and backwards in pow. As far as I know, the Prophet is not for me. Unless anyone has some good insight on it.
