A guy with the same name as me worked at my job in the 70s, the first time I came across some documents signed by him I didn't know that and I about lost my fucking shit. I was half convinced I was in an episode of lost and needed to get back to the island to find jack and Sawyer. Total mindfuck
 
i skiied with a coworker (mid 50s) the other day and he use to talk about the old mogul days in the 70s and showed me a picture of when he was just a youngin. I noticed he was wearing a dye tie shirt with the faint NS letter in the seams. I asked him what that was (even though i knew it deep down that it was newschoolers) and he told me it was a mail-in forum where people discussed a specific niche type of skiing where "you had to spin and grab your skis mid-air". He told me the forum was kept alive by people sending in mail to certain topics to one address and at the end of each week they'd get a letter back with summaries on what everyone wrote. I never believed him ofc cause he was always a bit of a nut but now i know that he was telling the truth. The admins should work to uncover this proterozoic era of skiing to see what life was like back then.
