And a Nobel Peace Prize is kinda like a popularity contest, at least that's how I look at it.

i really don't give a fuck about politics one way or the other. i don't discuss them, i don't read about them, i don't watch the news. they can do whatever they want.

that being said, however, i am super stoked on obama winning for the simple fact of watching all the conservatives/rednecks/religious zealots shit themselves over it. definitely good for a laugh.
 
Personally I don't like Obama all that much. I do like him 1000 times more than I liked Bush though.
 
Yeah, I don't like him either, but at the same time, I think I dislike him as much as I disliked Bush. Of course, I am the person that only votes so that I am allowed to bitch later. All politicians are hypocrites, corrupt, pieces of shit and are not to be trusted. But, if I don't vote, then I am not in any way allowed to bitch about what is happening. I guess I am kinda cynical but whatever.

No, it's just many MANY times liberals call conservatives ignorant (granted it can be warranted sometimes) and close minded but that post of yours shows how ignorant liberals can be at times when their great savior is being criticized.

There were two African presidents that just ended 20 year civil wars in their countries and they did it peacefully and everyone is, for now, united now in their countries.
 
if you'd read my original post in this thread, you'll see that i said i'm neither liberal nor conservative. i'm apathetic. i don't give a shit what people do with their money/time/unborn fetuses. nor do i care what they do with my tax dollars. it doesn't really make any difference in the long run anyway, so whatever.

i simply said that i find it entertaining watching people shit themselves over "omg obama gotz teh noble prize!". like it matters who gets it.

how old are you and do you have an income from which you are taxed? When you grow up and have a job, I guarantee you will care about how your tax dollars are being spent, especially when they aren't being spent to benefit you, as they should be.
 
i'm 24, and both my fiancee and i havejwell-paying, full time jobs. do you honestly think it makes any difference how your tax dollars are spent? if so, you're sadly mistaken.

i began to write up a response to this, but then i remembered that i couldn't care less. i don't think i'll post here anymore, so don't expect any further discussion if you respond to me. instead, i'm going to go take a shit, and then perhaps shake a baby.

If my tax dollars are being used to pay for Nancy Pelosi to get botox, for politicians to have private jets to fly to congressional hearing 50 miles away, or for everyone in this country to have Ferrari's you should be fucking pissed.
