Confidence

Hey NS,

I was just wondering if anyone uses any confidence boosters before trying a new trick or should I just sack up and do it?

Any Suggestions would work.

,Thanks

I like to speak out loud to myself and tell myself to not be such a pussy/little bitch. Works every time.

Ski with some friends and tell them your gunna try a new trick when you're about to drop in. That way if you don't try it you look like a pussy.

Skied for the first time today after getting my wisdom teeth out, but I'm still on Percocet. It probably helped because every time I crashed I didn't really feel it, so I guess its kinda the same thing

By yourself, just sack up. Go in knowing that you have the skills, the more confidence, the more commitment, the greater success, if you go in thinking you will fall, you probably will. I've done it enough.

With friends better than you, follow and try to copy them, ask for advice, and play skate as it forces you to try new things and you might surprise yourself.

With friends worse than you I still like to play skate, I want to win so I still try things that I can't 100% do, yes I mess up but it makes for a better game. Or asking them about doing tricks, usually they have a better grasp on what you can do than you do at that given time.

Those usually help me, that and knowing that I am having fun, it doesn't matter what others think, I try dumb stuff all the time that probably looks lame as shit, so what?

If you're skiing alone, just try to visualize yourself doing the trick and stomping it. Then drop in right as you finish visualizing.

Sometimes I offer myself material/edible motivation as well if I complete the trick, once I do the trick, my sheer stoke usually subsides that motivation anyways though, haha.
