Computer issue, don't know what to do.

Hey guys I'm having a issue with my computer (Samsung series 7 700z7c-s01). It won't connect to the Internet anymore. All my family members electronics are working (Toshiba laptop, MacBook, Xbox and iPad) and my phone is connected fine as well. When I try to get on the Internet it says "connecting" and will try to connect but always fail. I've tried updating my drivers, restarting and switching my Internet off. The only way I can get it to work is if I restart the router, but that fails after 15 minutes of being online. I can't find anything about this issue and really don't know how to fix this, hopefully you guys will know something.

maybe try configuring your wifi to a different type of security encryptions, like toggle between WPA, WPA-2, WEP. I've had problems where some devices wouldn't work properly/stay connected on certain ones.

try setting your router to a different channel and see if that works. but change it by more than 4 otherwise signal will still be overlapping on same frequency. but chances are your computers wireless card is crapped out. it happens.

Samsung suggested I restore my computer. FUCK THAT. I have a warrenty but I really hope it isn't my wireless card fucked up, that would be such a pain in the ass. I don't know how to change the channel of the router, how do i do that? Also would it mess up the rest of my familys interntet to something they'd have to change?

yeah this. when i switched my encryption type my internet would disconnect every minute or so and i ended up having to switch it back. Try WEP, its hackable, but i seriously doubt anybody would try lol

this is my 3rd try responding to this post. i refreshed my page and then my internet logged me out, im at work. lets hope it works this time.

go to your modem and router and un plug the wifi router then the modem in that order. wait 30 sec and plug the wifi back in and then the router. this should reset all your devices temp adresses.

if your modem and wifi are connected to a main computer then restart that computer as well. make sure to reset your wireless card drivers and your wifi device drivers.

if none of this works try to plug your comp in directly through a lan cable. that should connect you.

use the ipconfig command in the comand prompt to make sure your computer is aquiring all the needed adresses to connect to the internet.

i dont know much about that shit but iv had the same problems and those are the steps i take. its vary rare if you need to replace your wireless card or wifi router but i have had to replace the wifi router befor becvause it was old and couldent handle all the devices connected to it at once.

how old is your router? you could try to update firmware on your router, although if you other devices are working i think this is less likely to fix the problem.
