Anyone who helps me out, I'll blow you a kiss from Whitby, ON.

Anyways, My PC is fried and won't boot up properly. It seems to go into safe mode and then freezes and crashes. My mouse won't even work anymore. What should I do?

Thanks!

I guess I deleted Norton Anti-virus. Would that effect my system? Please.....

Does it blue screen or just freeze and they you have to shut it down by the button. You may have a hard-drive that is going to shit. What kind of computer do you have.

It's a chunk of shit. A Cicero Pentium 3 or something. It's old... I guess I need to find Windows now..

totally blow it away from a startup disk. if that does not mwork then i would try switching out different hardware into a working comp to see what does and doesnt work. Motherboards are costly, so dont mess with that unless its an absolute necessity. And unless you have the manual from your board, good luck plugging shit back in.

reinstall windows, back up files you want first though, or just install over the current installation. and try what the other dude said about taking out a hard drive and trying it in someone else's computer

try booting into safe mode (hold f8 down when the computer starts up) if it crashes when going into that you may have screwed windows up and need to reinstall it or your hard drive may be going on the fritz.

I just brought it up in Safe Mode... and I can move around in Windows now...

I'm gonna see what I can get away with... thanks so far everybody!

did yours make a wonderful beebing noise when it froze like mine did? it does that when norton makes me restart my comp after downloading critical updates. so then i have to boot up in safe mode, do a system restore, and then its good to go. really odd stuff, norton is the only program that it happens with.

what if I cant hear any sound from my computer unless I turn the volume all the way up and press my headset against my ear. and then I can barley hear anything. I have done all the trouble shooter stuff through control pannel and that didnt work.
