So last night windows made me do updates on my computer when i turned it off. I turn it on this morning and it stops at the screen that says:

on the bottom left corner it says:

Press DEL key to run Setup

Press F11 key to run Boot Menu

Press TAB key to show POST screen

And on the bottom right it has a intel logo, and the rest of the screen is black

None of the buttons on the keyboard do anything so i dont know how to fix it

i have tried putting a windows recovery CD, which also did nothing.

i have 64 bit vista btw

 
happens to me a lot... vista = fail

if you have a laptop, try taking the battery out and just leaving it off for a while and then trying turning it on again later...

if you have a desktop, turn it off at the back and where you plug it in and whatnot, leave it for a bit and try again...

basically the only way to fix a computer is to turn it off and on again.
 
This made me laugh.

Anyway, I'm assuming you tried hitting DEL, F11 and TAB? Does it go straight to the blank screen or does it show a different screen first (such as a full screen intel logo)?
 
if you start experiencing sudden reboots, or entering a boot cycle that doesn't get past the POST, your power supply could be fried.
