Compression fractures in my spine

I fell on my back in the park 2 weeks ago, pretty high about 10feet. Completely lost my balance and landed right on my neck/back. After X-rays, it turned out that there were 3 compression fractures.

Apparently not a very big deal, just pain killers and rest for at least 6 weeks, can"t take any choc until it's completely repaired.

But didn't Bobby Brown do the same last year at the end of march, and in the beginning of may he was throwing a triple in AK with Msp?? So my question is what do you think I should do? When I feel completely good should I start slowly or should I really stay more than 6 weeks without ski? Cause i still want to shred in may!!

I hate to sound like a bitch some days but fuck it's your spine man. When you feel good give it some more time. Good luck.

yea let it heal i had a muscle strain in december and it would feel better then the inevitable knuckle would come and boom its back so just rest up

I had a compression fracture two weeks before the season closed a couple years ago and skied closing day....I'm not sure if it was that bad for me but I stopped after a run or two cause it hurt pretty bad, you definitely feel it every single bump and it's definitely not great. it was sore for the next couple of months and three years later I definitely notice it quite often, especially after doing a lot of physical activity like skiing and running and stuff, not to mention heavy lifting and other work and if I sleep on it badly. I also did 3-4 months of biweekly chiropractic visits after. not stoked for how it's gonna feel when I'm 60. definitely do all you can to let it heal properly for now.....

I'm not saying it's debilitating, I definitely still do everything I used to, but it gets stiff way easily now and I have to stretch it out more often.

Ok thanks for your answers, im gonna stick to my camera then.

Yea, and for the moment it's not the worst pain ever, but it's constant and definitely doesnt feel great especially when I wake up, and if i start to run to catch the bus... Definitely don't want to feel it for years.

I did the same sort of thing, except 20 feet and cracked (almost broken in 3 places) rather than fractures. I took about 6 months before I was back on a bike and a year before I was back riding DH competitively.

I recommend taking your time and letting everything heal 100% I have done a ton of hard work since then in skiing and biking and it has not bugged me since almost a year and a half ago. just let it heal 100% and the rest a little more, also, listen to your physio and do all the exercises that they ask you to do.

Best of luck man + Vibes
