Compressing photos to 100kb and they look like crap

i've been Compressing photos to 100kb and they really look like crap, the program used is microsoft photo editor and I just did, file, save as, an lowered the quality accordingly

is there a way to not distort it so much that you can see the out line of every pixcel?

well you could just save ns bandwith and use another site. 100k is quite a bit of upgrade seeing as it used to be 40k

Live with it son, if your that keen to load your pictures to the web invest in your own server. It really isnt that expensive.

try resizing them differently. dont lower the resolution, just the height and width. the way i resize them is INCREASE the resolution to like 200 or so, and then drop the size to 2 inches by 3 and a half.

yah, instead of just worrying about the resolution, make it shorter and narrower. thats what i always do and it ends up about 40 kb

 
oh snap! ithought it was still 50k, shit fuck, my photos can be rad now
