Compressing GIFs

I tried the search bar, but i couldnt really find anything good on this.

I have a GIF picture that Id like as my forum icon, but its 8 kbs, and NS only allows icons at 4 kbs....how do i compress it the easiest way? I dont have flash or anything, just PS.

Go into PS. Make sure the image is 50 x 50 pixels first. Then go to file > save for web. On the right you'll have a variety of adjustments you can make. After each adjustment, in the lower left hand corner, there's a data display which shows the image size. Fuck with it till you get to 4kbs and you're solid.
 
when I open it in PS it says its an animated GIF and that I can only view one frame of it, and that saving it would discard all the other frames....any other idea?
