compressing audio

i was wondering if anyone knows of a program that can compress an entire library of music at once (or one after another) instead of having to do every single song individually?

 
compress it to what? what format is your music currently in?...

there mp3 right now. most are 128 but some are as high as 256 but i want to make the bit rate smaller so they dont take up so much room and my harddrive and so i can fit more onto my mp3 player.

is there anyway to convert a whole music library at once instead of having to convert every single one idividually? cuz i got thousands of songs and it would take forever doing all f them individually

 
so you just want to compress to a smaller mp3? i have this program that does that, can change it to smaller mp3s or wmvs or some other stuff. ill get it to you later if your interested but it may require searching on your part

i think musicmatch does it. go to convert files and then convert them all at once into 128

i use realplayer to compress my songs to 66K, then you can fit like 80+ songs on 1 74min minidisc

theres a prog called DietMP3...works great for that. I use it to almost double the number of songs I can get on my MP3 player. and with headphones you dont notice that much difference
