What to do if there aren't any competitions in your area and you aren't on a ski club. How to get to competitions?

Get some buddies together and talk to your park crew about doing a rail jam. Sometimes local companies and board shops will sponsor them. And they are fun to compete in.

most comps in my area are mostly just for fun, railjams and sessions. super chill, no pressure, just fun.

my hill got probably the dopest park crew, they ask what we like and what they should set up and have small railjams on occasion. there is also a big season ender event at my local called Open Klasse, where many Norwegian pros and all other homies get together and shred hard. almost the whole mountain is turned into a park.

USSA and USASA usually post schedules and locations for comps- other than that check around and see if any hills near you host rail jams or similar comps. Competition skiing is really good for progressing and it's a blast to do with some buddies- I'd definitely recommend checking it out and giving it a try.
