Competing in a Sit-Ski

Today I was considering the fact that when I was younger, I was very close to losing the ability to walk permanently, and that I might not have had the chance to ski. This got me thinking about sit skis.

So, who is qualified to compete in someting like monoskier-x in a sitski?

I'm talking about what type of disability. Obviously anyone who suffers from paralysis, and double amputees would have to use sitskis, but what about and above-knee amputee. They can ski with one ski and outriggers, but there is no competition for single ski users specifically.

i dont know, i feel like the rules should be pretty broad. sit ski is pretty equal no matter what condition the competitor is in. a single amputee compared to a double amputee are equal cause theyre both in the same apparatus.

seems like it would be up the competitor to decide whether he wants to tough it out on one leg or just sit down.

A guy from my home mountain was in the monoskiier x.

its mainly just amputees and paralyzed people. I don't know the exact rules

my question basically is:

If someone can in an upright position without the aid of a sit-ski, but cannot ski without being impeded by a disability, are they eligible to compete in something like monoskier-x?

my dads a double amputee, both below the knee and doesnt sit ski... he used to be on the U.S disabled team and when we were watching the sit skier cross final he looked at me and goes holy shit... i know that guy, turns out the guy who won was on the disabled team with my dad some 20 years ago
