You must be SO CHILL.

Why don't you keep making a film segments then.

Why don't you "progress the sport" by yourself.

And don't watch the Dew Tour or XGames.

And go get high in your basement and play beer pong.

It's cooler to not care anyway.

You must be such a chiller.

Or you could just go skiing.

if this is in response to clayton vila's article, i completely agree with him. i would way rather watch film segments. that is where people are able to get creative and do things that focus on style, as well as get huge bangers, because they have more than 1 run to put it down.

with comps, its so standard what you are going to see. every course and what the athletes throw is pretty much the same. rails up top, then jumps down on the bottom that normally consist of something like a dub cork 14, and double rodeo somethings, and variations of those. there is no variation, where as with film segments you get something new every time

The title is better than its contents. So Im going to reply to the title

FALSE Competing shows the skills so much more. You have one try (or 3) to get it right. Plus the pressure to succeed is so much higher. You can repeat the same move in front of the camera, but it takes true skill to stomp first time, every time.

Ur no more right than he is. It depends on what ur looking for cOnsistency or best trick possible. If you put the gagnier quad that Tom 2 on to switched in a slope run not one person over the course of the entire event would straight slide it to the end much less 2 to switch. Come to think of it fuck them being able to land it in a run 90% of the skiers in comps couldn't get a shot on that rail at all
