Does anyone here actually go to college full time and still have time to do comps in the winter or do you have to take a semester off?

Well I do goto college full time and theres plenty of freetime in the week to compete. I would if I didn't totally blow. Heres what I do take about 15 hours of classes per semester and load them all up on two days a week so you have the rest of the week off to ski/work/party/compete whatever floats yer boat

God is an American.

that is what I did this last year, took 16 credits all on tues/thurs and had fri-mon to ski/play/work/party...its the way to go

Don't hate the player. Hate the game!

yeah i did both..

There is always time for skiing :)

I am taking about 17-18 credits per semester because I'm majoring in pre-med and want to graduate in 4yrs. I go to school all 5 days and make sure I get my studying in during the week days.. saturday and sunday are dedicated to skiing and partying.

you can always take summer school also. it helps with the load and you can find more time to ski.

Dreaming let's you know reality exists.

Yeah even if you have a filled schedule during the week there is always the weekend, and its easy enough getting at least one day off a week. Also, depending on your location you can take morning classes and ride the afternoon. i did a combination of taking days off and mornign classes to get all my riding in.

Yeah like wintrwill said you can take the morning classes or night classes. THere were somedays last semester i would go to school in the morning ride to the hill(i hour away), ski unitl 3 or so and then make it back to class for 5 or 6pm. BUt if you can do the tues. thurs. schedule then forsure do that.

yes it is possible. Symms goes full time at the university of utah. and he is on scholership. If you want to do it go to the U of U. you can take summer school and then go in the fall and take like 1 or 2 online classes in the spring. plus you would be based out of salt lake which mean grreat skiing right by school(22 miles from dorms to snowbird/alta) and slc is centraly located to where all the comps in the west are.

Trust me here, if you want to go to school to ski you have to go to the university of utah. I am from chicago and came to the U to ski. I just finished there and I don't regret going to Utah at all!!
