Can anyone think of some examples of companies with a poor e-commerce presence, or total lack thereof who could benefit from getting their product online? I'm drawing a blank for my e-commerce class...thank you kindly

For a hosting company alpha1teclabs have a... err.... retro website.

It can also be companies who display their products online, but do not sell online themselves.

generally they have there reasons for doing that. Like relations with the people who sell there stuff. But now that internet shopping is becoming much more common that will probably be less of an issue

Wow, that is awful. You can't see anything with that video playing in the background and the logo covering everything. Whoever thought that was a good idea needs new eyes.

can't believe no one has mentioned Craigslist yet, that site really could use a facelift

Craigslist is one of those sites that doesn't look good but functions well. The ugly wall of text is iconic and I doubt it will change anytime soon.
