i'm throwing around the idea of leaving my current school and going out west to a community college for a semester or so, i had a few questions though ...

first which ones should i look into ? have you had much experience there ?

are there any good ones near good mountains ?

does community college have out of state tuition as a regular college would ?

out of state tuition is pretty brutal sometimes. granted i haven't looked into to any really yet, just wanted some input.

there is sierra college in rocklin, grass valley and truckee

truckee meadows community college in reno

tahoe city college

umm and some more but i cant remember right now, these are all tahoe area for the most part

community colleges are awesome if you're still completing bullshit undergrad requirements. Why would you pay double tuition for the same shitty class with three times the people compared to uni. I'm getting my AA then going to a "real" university, and I don't understand why more people don't do this.
I go to Whatcom Community College in Bellingham, WA. (google the name for the school's page) I dig it, a lot of the professors are just retired from the university in town (WWU). It's a good school close to epic skiing.
Mt. Baker- 1 hrWhistler- 3 hrsStevens Pass- 2.5 hrs
plus Bellingham is a sick city with good mtn biking and an epic skim spot. and WCC is 60/40 girls dudes... not a bad thing....
hope that helps

well i'm in school right now majoring in marketing and its only my first year so i was thinking of maybe just going to a com college just to knock out some gen eds
