Coming back from serious injurys

Just looking for some thoughts from people who have been through something like this.
Basically I crashed off a mid sized jump about 3 weeks ago hard enough to give me a subarchnoid hemorrhage. I got helicoptered off the mountain and was basically unconscious for a couple days. My memory and thought process is still shit and I can't really walk correctly because of brain damage. And this is apparently recovering very quickly all considering. So I'm really thinking about the future of my park skiing because Im dead if i hit my head again. I wasn't doing anything out of my ability level and I had a helmet on. So I'm really trying to decide how to proceed from this. thoughts?

watch this

then remember that it was probably a freak accident, and decide whether it is worth taking the risks to do what you love

yea but there is more to my life then skiing, im not a pro by any means. I'm not CR and will never be, If i had to choose to ski and die or never ski it wouldn't be hard for me to decide to never ski again.

take up filming. go out with your friends, spend time on the mountain, even hit small features

but if you dont have to, dont quit skiing

I remember like 2 years ago a guy 0n NS was in the same situation. He hit his head really hard one time, lots of damage. Doctor told him not to ski again, he did. He hit his head on a rail or something. Went back to the doctor and was told if he did it again he would die. Im pretty sure he ended up quitting skiing... i think.

Take it at your own pace. If taking up filming or whatever seems like a fun alternative to express your love of skiing while keeping the risk low, do it. People have made amazing comebacks after debilitating injuries, but it should be all up to you, your life.
