hell yea those road are sooo much fun but i gotta hold back some cuz if you slide out on some of those corners you could easily die
 
i went up there in a blizzard i thought on the way down i was for sure gonna die, plus i was in a rental car that i dont think i was supposed to drive it was stressful
 
its pretty good, the lady who registered me for classes screwed it all up so im done with film school classes on oct 17, so i have tons of time to ski, just 2 night classes from oct 17- dec 15
 
I know I'm sorry. I just know in my head that I can't handle another winter there without you. And whos gonna spot Andy in the squat rack now?
 
denver is awesome. you live DOwntown too? go up on colfax and pensilvania thats my old hood you can buy crack and hookers its badass

 
and i'm offfffff, going to the CU boulder rail jam this afternoon, hopefully partying with the olenicks tonight, well see. I cant fucking wait
 
haha, sorry for the name drop, but i was pretty excited when i was notified i was invited to a party with him and the rest of the boulder skiers. Well, for my first day in denver, we headed right out to boulder, had dinner, and whata ya know, POS and mims is playing across the street that night, but we went to the rail jam instead, where we met up with henrik, and met matt walker and mike clark as well as most of the freeskier magazine crew. It was weird taping and taking pictures at an event where we didn't really know anyone, but once we got inside the fence, everything got better. The only person to drop in switch was a girl, which was fucking awesome. pictures and video of it will be up soon im sure
 
oh, and being out here really put in perspective how fucking gay we are in Minnesota, with all our little bickering and shit, i have a feeling being in CO for a year will change me for the better.

Oh and ill tell you guys this funny little story from last night, because i want to. So digital dave (freeskiers chief online editor) was the MC with a bull horn, and he came over to me and asked me my name and where i was from, and i said joe beenen just got in from minnesota, so he goes on the bull horn to about 500+ CU students "This is Joe Penis, he just flew in from Minnesota, the land of endless bordem"
 
kids dressed like bloods and crypts are always going to have beef (which in the ski world usually comes down to forum fighting). so in conclusion don't think that kids out west are just on auto friend and don't bicker. I would agree with Steve that the midwest has about as tight knit group of kids as anywhere.
