Colorado Trip

My family is heading out to Winter Park the day after Christmas however after checking the snow report daily for the past month I'm not getting very excited. From what I've seen Winter Park has greens and blues open and the rest of CO isn't a whole lot better. Do you guys have any suggestions of where we should head for the best snow? I'm coming from Illinois so no matter where we go it's going to be better than what we have here

its december...this is pretty normal...some years we might be a week or two ahead or behind of where we're at now. CB has tons of snow, pretty much the whole mountain is open and the extremes should be opening soon...not sure how summit is coming along but generally they have more snow then we do.

Summit hasn't really been getting shit. Last snow we had was a few inches inbounds last week. SJ's been getting wayyy more snow lately. I heard WP was decent but by the time you get there, it'll probably be crud unless we get more snow which is unlikely. If I were you I'd try and find a way to summit and ski park, A51 and breck are pretty much 100% as far as park features go.

Wolf Creek is the only place with good snow right now in my opinion. CB is okay. I don't why everyone thinks Colorado has a powder day every other day. We have legit parks for a reason, it doesn't dump a lot.

Yea I understand that CO doesn't always get fantastic snow but I have been going to different CO ski areas for the past 10 years at this same time and we have never had to worry about snow this much. Thanks for the help though

seeing as how your from illinois you shouldnt be worried at all. you could always stay home and ski wilmot? hahahaha
