Color Grading in Post

I use Final Cut Pro as my editing software, and I want to do more color grading/correcting. For photography, I use Lightroom, and I have some presets that make editing go fast, easy, and I like the pictures they produce - this doesn't work for videos though.

I was curious if there is software that you use or know of anything, where you can have certain presets that transform the video like the presets I mentioned I have in Lightroom. Thank you!

The best way to do it is to use 3-way color corrector, adjust your highlights, mids, blacks and your white point for all three (if you choose) using an RGB parade.

If you can get all of your clips to match (at least close enough) you can then nest your sequence and add one level of "color grading" to that nested sequence and then you can adjust the color of the entire edit and dont have to go clip by clip.

DaVinci resolve lite is a free version of their software, you can import and entire sequence of clips and it will separate them all into separate piece to color correct, or you can do what I said above and do one big clip and adjust for the entire edit.

Hope that helps
