you could try de something like selective desaturation (not sure if thats the word for it), because the green from the box seems really harsh, and also turn down the highlights a little. Have you checked out the tutorial on reading waveforms from abek?

agreed, whites seem a little bright, abek's tutorial/waveforms would be helpful

little to much green in the highs. Kinda looks like you were going for a sepia look and missed it by a tad. The contrast better than original tho

shit i didn't read your original post. Yea you need bring down the brightness in the second one. The first actually looks better if it wasn't so green/yellow. Try removing some of the saturation from the first clip and i think it would be money

Thanks everyone.
i have watched Abek's CC video with the color graph but im working in Sony Vegas which doesn't have them.
Thanks to all for your 2 cents

you should really get a program that has a waveform monitor, it really helps to get your whites and black just perfect and you're gonna get way better results

I don't think its too dark, its not a sunny day so its not gonna be bright as fuck. Your other one was way too bright.

True.
So do you think i should keep my colors like that??
i just feel like the color is off a bit. it looks like i have black pants on, when they are purple

As far as I know, most versions of Sony Vegas do have the waveform monitors.
Here's how to turn them on (works in Vegas 10.0 at least):View > Video Scopes (or press Ctrl+Alt+2)In the drop-down menu of the window/frame which opens, select Waveform
Also, in Vegas the Sony Color Corrector is different than Final Cut's (which is what Abek uses). You can use the Sony Levels filter to make the adjustments which color corrector doesn't in Vegas.
Hope this helps.

OHH ok i get it.

Then your blacks are too crushed, bring them up a little to get that detail back.

yeah. I use vegas 10 too. you can use the three way color corrector and the levels effect. mess around with the input in and output stuff and gamma is mids

you should just post your raw shot for DL and ill see if i can do any better in vegas. Honestly it looks pretty good to me.

um sony vegas does have a waveform and a similar 3 way color corrector

just go to view/video scopes/

and then select wave form and click on the box, update while playing or whatever it says
