Color Correcting Video in Lightroom

Got the idea after using Quicktime Pro to export image sequences to turn 60fps to 30fps. Decided to run the images through Lightroom before turning them back into video.

Gave this a shot since I lack any professional video software and wanted

rich colors/tones in my videos. Lightroom ran through thousands of

image without any problem and not much more time.

Check out my first video I did using Lightroom to color correct. Look forward to using this technique in the future.

Fuck yeah, I love Tycho.

What software are you using? Even the most basic ones tend to have a least a saturation/contrast adjustment.

really wanna know what software you're using, would also like to hear what you did to workflow (timeline, then grade; or vice versa?). If they were to integrate LR4 with premiere I would never go back to FCP.

My comp can't handle AE. not fast enough.

Does AE have a built in color correction system? The one thing keeping me form switching to CS is that I love color 1.5 too much.

haha that's like asking if Photoshop allows you to adjust colors.

AE is better than Color in some respects, and inferior in others. I like how Color has better luma processing, but I hate the node-based workflow. AE has better motion tracking too, which is another plus. And if you are planning on doing any sort of VFX, AE is the natural choice since you can do both in the same program.

color finesse works great in AE.

with my mac i have to work in 1/3 to 1/4 res, its due-able but not preferred..

I only have imovie and it's not worth my time to torrent a new software and have a learn a new workflow.

Rightfully so, I'm not happy with imovies adjustments. The contrast and saturation just never to the trick for me.

Lightroom gave me the ability to edit the picture as I normally would. Aside from basic contrast, brightness, curves, I also added a little noise reduction which seems to sharpen the overall quality.

I'll write up a blog post soon too describing workflow etc

Thats pretty clever, interested to see your workflow so will put this in mythreads for now.

Video was amazing by the way. GoPro Video of the day anyone?
