College

im in grade 11 atm in australia and im a pretty competitive swimmer. after school i thought it would be fun and a good idea to go to a college in the US or Canada where i could go to school and swim for the school. On a scholarship which i may be able to get from swimming/ acedemic etc. i would want it to be close to some sort of good ski resort and also be a good school. where do u guys think?

cheers

Hey, so I am also a junior but I live here in the states. I would really look into colleges around Lake Placid (New York) because they have the Olympic arena there. I personally LOVE Lake Placid. It is really gorgeous there and the skiing is great. You also have the ski ramps there as well. I don't know a whole lot about the colleges around there except Cornell is an amazing school. It is definitely something to check out though. Good luck with it all and if you come, I am sure you will like it here. I am sure there are also some great schools out west with amazing swimming programs. Check out schools in Colorado and California near Mammoth. I would just google things and check around. Hopefully I was of some help and I apologize for not knowing more.
These will help you. The first one is a list of schools in the area and the second one has some info about the facilities. The third link is of Whiteface, which is a local mountain. Finally the last one is on Ithaca, New York (which is where Cornell is located).

University of Michigan is expensive but nice. They have a great swimming program. the only problem is there isnt a great ski resort within an hour. nubs, boyne, and boyne highlands are 3 hours
