okay......so i'm trying to decide where to apply to college and everyone i talk to says that skiing isnt important so logically i came here to ask for advice. where do you guys think the best schools for skiing but also for some sort of good academics are?

 
there are none. unless you go to dartmouth which has its own ski hill, although it probably sucks.

UBC Vancouver. Awesome school, great education. It's huge. And you get to ski at Whistler. I think it's like $350 CAN for a season's pass if you're a student.

I'm going to University of Montana in Missoula next fall. im ampped up as all hell. word on the streets is that they have a ski team but its more a club. it competes under the UMT title and competes against other D-1 schools.

plus, the mountains are actually closer to campus there than they are at, say, Boulder.

i was thinking about school in Switzerland- try Franklin College Switzerland. i applied and got in without sending my application fees!

i grew up on UM's campus ( my dad was a prof) it is pretty kickass.....i was thinking about Franklin but then i talked to the guy and he said they have 300 students and im not sure i could handle that.

If your parents give you shit about academics, UNH is pretty good, or you could go to any boston schools like BC, BU, etc and those are only an hour or so away from southern/central vermont mountains.

We'll have you dead pretty soon.
 
dartmouth has the dartmouth ski way, its a sick little mountain. i learned to ski there. some pretty sick drops, good waterfall, not to hip on the park though, lost of little rails and shit. its a pretty old fashioned mountain but i love it. if you get there though its not like theres no where else around to ski, theres plenty of places close by.
