College talk - Graphic design/video schools?

Alright NS, first let me start with some background info.

-I am an 18 year old community college student from NH who wants to get the fuck out of my house and go do something with my life.

-I want to be in a cool place, whats cool do you say? New England is cool thats what. Anything thats like new england (utah,colorado,oregon.. states that have lots to do outside/look pretty) and obviously I want to be where I can ski.

-I want to major in either graphic design or digital film/video, so whatever the school may be it must offer those two programs.

-Lastly I want to be on a somewhat larger scale campus. I dont want to be stuck with the same losers, I like variety in my friend groups.

I thought I had my mind made up with Champlain college in burlington vermont but recently have read some negative reviews explaining how its near impossible to transfer in/out. the professors are racist/grade on politics. And the people on campus are nerdy anime hipsters. (Im not making this up, multiple people confirmed this)

Now that we got that over with, what you got for schools NS? I know I should research on my own, but I know that many people on this site share the same interest as I, and came here for some guidance.

psu potrland state university its neer hood which has almost year round skiing, chill town with lots to do and its also neer the coast for surfing and on3p is here

portland is pretty cool, i live here. its a little far from hood though. (from downtown its like an hour 45)

i dont know if they have graphic desighn or video editing but pacific northwest collage of arts (pnca) but thats not down town but its still near a public transport center and 15 min form down town

Thanks for the input but I forgot to mention I am 0% interested in an art school.

+K to all who have shared some insight!

Pretty much want to do the same thing but more commercial/film advertising.. also was looking at Champlain but can 100% agree to the stranger gamer anime hipster kids

I'm at Champlain and as I can agree that there are a lot of gamers, the majority of my dorm are, you learn that they can be fucking awesome people. They're absolutely hilarious too and it's interesting to live with people who are not 100% similar to you.

Bump? I've looked at places like Full Sail but there's no way in hell I'd be able to live in Florida/get my own apartment and not have a college experience. Right now it looks like MSU is my best choice, and it looks like they have a decent film program, but I still wish I could find some other options in CO/UT. Doesn't seem like a lot of schools have media/visual arts/digital arts stuff, a lot of them seem to have "film studies" where you look at a lot of the history rather than actually learn cinematography and create films. I also am looking more towards the Advertising side of film such as commercials rather than hollywood movies. If anyone has any other suggestions of schools to look at please let me know.
