College Skiing???

I am set on attending UVM after I graduate from high school and I recently visited their campus and they have clubs that get you great discounts on local mountains. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with UVM or just skiing while at college in general
 
Have you been accepted to UVM? That might be the first thing to worry about. Once you figure out if and where you are going to school, you can figure out how you want to go about skiing while there.
 
Toured the school a few months back...super sick ski scene. Over 30% of the students are on the ski/snowboard club. Didn't really feel the size or vibe of the college, plus out of state tuition is $$$. Just my opinion though.
 
Got accepted and almost went there but tuition was expensive as fuck and i had to answer to the call of the west so instead I'll be starting at Montana State in a few weeks. UVM was definitely a badass school and was a close second choice though!
 
No experience with UVM, but I hail from Umaine where I ski Sugarloaf pretty much every weekend. Even with the drive it's totally worth it. Ski during the day, party during the night, rinse, repeat.
 
I'm pretty set on going to CU, with U of Denver as a backup next year. The skiing isn't as close as a lot of choices, but I genuinely loved the feel of both schools, and apart from the skiing I really think that both schools are great options.
 
I just graduated from UVM in May and couldn't have imagined myself going to school anywhere else. UVM has an awesome ski scene (Burlington is kinda the hub of East Coast skiing), as well as tons of people who are into all sorts of winter sports. There's the UVM ski and snowboard club (which I was an officer of) and the UVM Freestyle ski team (which I was a member of) so if you have any questions at all about either of the clubs, feel free to PM me and I'd be happy to answer them. UVM is really pricey but I know I received good financial aid which is why I attended. Lots of NSers are on the UVMFST or attend UVM in general, so you won't be disappointed with your decision.
 
I went to MSU Mankato (MN) and lived 3 miles from their ski hill. That was awesome. Not good on my productivity though.
 
I read this as U of M and was like wait, there's no skiing in southern michigan, just salt slush and rain
 
College and skiing are easy to do together, if you can manage your time, you can ski A LOT. I skied 100+ days the two years I was in school. This year I am going to college online so I can work more and ski more. Just stay on top of your studies, and life will be good.
