What programs? And what skiing is around? I've applied for both Photography and Journalism programs.

carleton has one of the best journalism programs in the country, Mont Tremblant 2 hours away and you get get a student seasons pass for 250CAD and there is a weekly bus up there at a good price. Western and Guelph have pretty much no skiing. I say fro mwhat you're looking for, Carleton. I am in Integrated Biology and business. You can message me if you want some more info.

Universities:

-Carleton -> applied outta high school 2 yrs ago and got in for mass comm

-Western -> everyone from my high school went there and not many of them like it

-Guelph -> just applied to Guelph for Sept 05

I also just applied to Mac and Brock for Sept 05

Colleges:

-Sheridan -> applied for theater and didnt get in outta high school

-Algonquin -> never wrote the acceptance test so applied outta high school but not accepted

Couple good friends, couple cold beers, couple HUGE puddles all equal a wicked night on the farm...

Thank god for the country boys....

 
ryerson is good for journalism

carleton is really good for journalism, and i don't really know about that program, but you can get good scholarships

guelph .. isn't really near much skiing wise but it's a good school

queen's is a really fun school but not near any skiing

um bishop's, in quebec, is fun. yep..

 
i might be going over to that area for Training in the Army... I'm still not sure if i wanna join the army tho.

oh yeah, and carleton offers the most scholarship/bursary money in the country.

at this point, algonquin is in major debt and they are cutting programs...same with most colleges, i'd go to a university if i were you.

I go to Humber...

Not to bad of a school. I'm in my last year of multimedia design, but i'm going back from another year in post production.

As for anywhere close...Glen Eden is the closest place...only like 20 min away.

 
Yeah, i know Carleton is amazing for journalism... and obviously most likely the best choice for skiing.

Although I'm leaning more towards the field of photography.

And yeah, I was also looking at Loyalist, but could only apply to 5 and had to eliminate some that I wanted.

I went to Humber for journalism. Never finished as I changed my mind. The program was really good though. Area sucks. Rough neighborhood. Rez was fun. Good photography course too...

Yah, Bishops is in quebec, but if your looking for skiing and university together on the east coast in canada... Bishops is the university of choice. We are within 30 minutes from 6 or 7 hills, on of which is about 8 minutes away and has a night pass (from 3pm to 11pm) for $75, and if you have a firend with a car, and whithout a broken toe, you could probaly get there every night of the week if you wanted, and even come back for supper, then go again without too much trouble. You are also 45 minutes from Jaypeak and a bunch of other awesome hills in Vermont and new Hampshire. theres lots of car pooling and stuff going on too. Also being the mexico of canada the drinking age is 18, which belive me, is a huge bonus.

applied to Western, got in, but go to the university of Victoria

a friend goes to western and likes it, a lot of others I've met didn't like it at all

mcmaster or waterloo for me. they're resonably close to here, so i can ski on the weekends and such.

i applied to Carleton, Ottawa and Guelph for my BCom. i should be accepted to all of them. i'll go to either Carleton or Ottawa tho. Guelph is too far from decent skiing.

yeah I go to carleton for international business. It is alright, the ppl are alright, i hope you like asians and ugly girls cause we have tonnes of them. We also have Dave Crichton and the best ski bus in the country. Tremblant is awesome. if you want good skiing, that is probably the best quality carleton has to offer.

i applied to Trent, Waterloo (got an early acceptance) and York for B.A in geography

Ryerson is quite go with arts. my cousin is there doing photography and she said its amazing

guelph is definately a fun school to hang out at and party, but the skiing is non-existent. unless you have friends who have condos in collingwood and cars to get there. nonetheless sick school im sure you'd like it here.
