So I'm looking to head up north from the U.S. for school and skiing.

I'm looking for a decent sized, (5k students+) 4 year school. Currently

I'm looking into a Visual/Fine arts, forestry, or advertisement major

and but nothing is 100%. As for skiing, I would like to be near some

powder, bc access, steeps, just near some great skiing pretty much. I

don't care about park at all if that helps too. I'm currently looking

at UBC Vancouver and it looks pretty good, though tuition is expensive

for me. Any other suggestions on schools would be very appreciated!

Thanks.

u of calgary probably would be good im sure theres forestry if you wanna stay in van the skiing wont be as good (powder wise) try sfu cheaper tuition

If you go to van with a car you could go to grouse, cypress, seymour and then make the trip to baker and whistler if you have some extra time, if you go to calgary you get to drive way farther to go to banff unless you ski COP which blows. Go to van if you have the money, or check out some of the interior schools such as Selkirk College, UBC has a few campuses around i know and there are a few other ones i cant recall. Good luck!

all the local hills blow ass im born and raised in nv i now live in the kootenays its a million times better in the rockies or koots fuck whistler its just a tourist trap all i meant was u of c is probably the best school outside van that you have good snow access is 3 hours to fernie from calgary, but if you do van have fun in the wet shit snow haha

selkirk college in the west kootenays is good. i have many friends who have gone to selkirk college for many things from forestry, rec and wildlife, photography, economics, and some others... they have two main campus's, one in castlegar and one in nelson. nelson is based more towards the arts and trades, while castlegar is where you'd go for the forestry, rec/wildlife, etc... if you do end up at the 'gar, i advise you NOT to live in town. nelson is an hour away, rossland is 30min away..

for more information about the schools and the programs they offer, you should probably talk to them. yep.
