College dorm

just get as many posters as you can. Mostly from magazines, those free ones. My room was kind of bare. I had some running posters, some tennis posters from my roomate, and some random ones from my school. I dunno about your school, but mine had a big poster sale at the beginning of the year so definitely check that out if it exists
 
send out a shit ton of letters to ski companies. put a few extra buck in the letter and they usually send back poster. or just sticker the shit outta your room. they're usually concrete walls so its easy to take down the stickers at the end of the year
 
my uni has a big poster sale at the beginning of the year too, plus i've got some sweet free posters from ski swaps/warren miller movies/etc.
 
I also bought an enrique iglesias poster online and put in up in my room hahahaha. Yep, this hung in my room all year.

I always thought some christmas lights would be cool in a dorm. I have some blue ones hanging in my bedroom.
 
Posters, banners (skully has a few Jon Olsson ones, ask her for them!), Christmas lights, mini-fridge (essential!), microwave and PLANTS. You need plants, just get something easy to water thats easily maintainable, but trust me, fresh O2 is miles better than Fbreeze and sprays. Also, you'll need your own desk chair, the dorm ones usually suck sooooo much balls.
