title says it all, my toes have been fucking freezing this year and im not sure why. I have some nice foootbeds and some smartwool socks. Any suggestions and ive heard to duct tape the toe of your boot, does that really work???

o and +K for suggestions

Boots too tight?

I've heard of some particular boots letting water in - i think even the old rampage used to do that

yah if your boots are too tight then they might be cutting off circulation to your toes. Try undoing the bottom buckles on the lift

i get the same problem. i've tried loosening my buckles on my foot, it didn't help. my feet never get wet, so it's not that. the simple solution is foot warmers. assuming you have just a tiny bit of room around your toes, throw those in there. don't be embarrassed, cold toes suck. i put them inside my sock, not outside, and right above my toes, not below them, and i haven't had any problems since. try it, you won't regret it! and good luck!

i have sweaty toes and cant keep them warm, i unbuckle and still doesnt help much.

any advice from sweaty foot people?

Foot warmers get annoying to use after a while, but they work. Or get some Hotronics.

On top of un-buckling your boots before you get onto the chairlift, wiggle your toes while going up. Make sure your socks aren't crumpled up inside your boots either.

cold feet is cause by a few reasons. boots too tight or too lose. wet boots, or poor circulation.

some things to try are what people have suggested, unbuckle your boots if they are too tight. or if your boots are too big then they can get cold too, might need new boots, but if you have custom footbeds, that probably is not the reason. now are your footbeds custom or the ones you buy an d just stick in. if they are the kind you just buy, try getting custom ones and tell them you have cold toes, they will try to make the flow of your boot promite good circulation, at least they should try.

if you have poor circulation, go to your doctor and see if they have any suggestions.

try this...when you are done skiing, take out the liners and htent eh hard plasitc thing on the bottom, i guarentee you there is moistour int her that you didnt know was there. this is caused but melintg snow nad build up of sweat...if you dont let it air out it is in there and you dont know it and then freezes when you are skiing and makes your toes cold.

if all else fails i live by hotronics, i cannot ski without them becuase i have really bad circulation in my feet. i wear them, my toes will be warm but still numb thats how bad my feet are. but i love them! and if you cuz live.com and search them you and earn cash back and you cna find them on ebay for about 170 new. they are really easy ti intsall too.

good luck! cold toes suck!

THIN socks help a lot. big fluffy ones contribute to cutting off the circulation to your feet, same with long underwear going between your boots and socks.

i have really really cold feet as well and am finally getting boot warmers this year after dealing with it for so long.

BootGloves.
Too bad they make you look like a ninja. I used them everyday that I taught last year and my feet were never cold.

haha do those really work? I bought some for like $5 but never put them on. I'll definitely throw those on next time it's freezing and windy

word.

but i have always relied on thin socks, works great.

if you have poor circulation get some of that capsaisin roll on arthritis shit, it enlarges the local blood vessels and improves circulation. if you dont want to buy the roll on stuff cyanne powder has the same effect.

hope that helped

this guys knows his toe warmers. haha thats exactly how i do it, although i've started putting them on the outside of my sock. but still, foot warmer on top of your toes FTW.

i usually just put my boots on a heater over night and then put them on in the morning when they are warm and they stay warm

FULL TILT X2 !

haha

i dont know what it is but my rampages were FREEZING cold, full tilts never had cold feet again.

I have the same problem. Nothing really works 100% for me, my toes are always cold. It is just poor circulation for me. But here are some things that help. Duct tape the front of your boot where the two flaps of plastic overlap. It keeps the cold air out. May look silly but it helps a lot. Then like everyone else said. Thin socks and unbuckle your boots in the lift line. And keep those piggies moving.

try putting your boot liners on the heater over night. i do it after i ski all the time

NO once my buddy had those and he hit a table and he landed pretty far down towards the flat then the battery pack or whatever on the back outside of the boot blew the fuck up....ive been sketch about those ever since, id just say thinner socks istrad of old burly ones or try to figure out if the boot is the problem

How does that do anything for his toes the next day though?

All that will do is remould them into rubbish

Oh, and i really hope you remove your footbeds if you have custom ones

Take a few runs until you can't stand it. Then go into the lodge and stick your feet on the front of the fireplace maybe take your liners out and let them warm up. After that its so cozy and your feet don't get cold for the rest of the day. Or foot warmers ontop of your toes outside the sox.

I've been getting this problem too... only been out a couple times in my new boots though, and someone told me my toes'll get warmer once my boots pack out a bit an aren't so tight. True?

Unbuckle your buckles while on the lift, and also take steps to increase circulation. You can sprinkle cayenne powder in the toe area of your sock, and also eating spicy food also increases circulation which will help keep your toes warm.

The cayenne powder on your toes sounds idiotic, but really does work.

Completely serious.

Best is to actually consume spicy food though as the effects of cayenne pepper are greater when eaten.

Also, keep your core more warm. Skip the tall tee and buy a performance baselayer. Your body will reduce bloodflow to your extremities like fingers and toes when cold in order to keep essential organs warm. If your core is already kept warmer, your hands and feet will be warmer as a result.

beat me to it, cayenne/chili powder works wonders, and i cannot for the life of my understand why.

just sprinkle some of that jazz on your socks pre-flight, youll appreciate the results.

if his boots were wet theyll be dry so his toes wont get cold

my boots dont remould into rubbish lol

and i dont have custom footbeds. shit i thought everyone else did it i fucking hate wet boots

thats a good point. i never wear tall tees but i usually layer just enough so that i'm warm-ish. maybe i'll try a few more layers. and the cayenne powder haha.

I rock some tecnica agent 80s which are fun park boots but absolutely terrible quality wise and don't keep you warm at all. I'm goin today to buy an emergency blanket to put around the liners which I'm thinking will make them super warm because those things reflect a crazy amount of heat which is easily escaping tecnicas crappy liners.

i rock 1980 back entries... salomon back entries. but ill spread that chilli powder stuff to my friends they have huge cold feet problems
