LCD soundsystem has been around longer than deadmau5 thus more time to get bigger. Plus in the indie-hipster world of Coachella LCD soundsystem is pretty big.
I am hoping some spill over to Sasquatch Music Festival.
this honestly sounds like one of the sickest things ever.... i would kill to go to this, besides the amazing bands and their shows im sure the camping partying is pure epic
I live only a couple hours from where Coachella is, and every year I think about going for the 3 or so really good bands, but then skip because of the 40+ terrible ones.
Seriously considering going this year though, only to see The Specials. Gorillaz would be cool too, and Tiesto is rad live but I've already seen him a bunch of times. But having to sit through bands like Muse and Passion Pit would piss me off so I might not.
Oh, Dillinger Escape Plan, Les Claypool, and Old Crow Medicine show are playing. Those bands are all pretty awesome. I used to like RX Bandits and Porcupine tree back in like Jr. High as well.
Also I bet Public Image Limited would at least be lulzy.
So I guess its a better lineup than usual, slightly. It actually pisses me off that they have mostly shitty bands but that 5%-10% are so good that it would be a shame to miss them. Same every year. The Specials are really the only must see group there though, and its probs not even the original line up. Would be EPIC if it was though.
club 75, its justice, mr oizo, cassius, and some other french artist. and I should correct myself and say only announced date in the US, to the guy who said Halloween NYC.
That is pretty legit actually. That might make the difference if tickets weren't like $100.
If anyone does go they should see 2manydj's, I saw them headline a massive in England and they were legit.
some friends and I are going to try to road trip out there if we can scrape together the cash. the lineup is sooooooooo ill. muse, thom yorke, deadmau5, hot chip, mgmt, vampire weekend, club 75, gorillaz, & miike snow to name a few? yes please.
