After living in CO for the last 5 season before this one, and then moving to SLC in May, you have a valid point.
BUT, the skiing in Utah is pretty damn good, and I can handle the weirdness for at least a season or two. So far this season I've skied more deep powder in a month and a half than I did in two full seasons combined in Colorado.
People are not so friendly and very cliquish in Utah. So, I agree that the people and ski town culture are much better in Colorado. The way I see it though, if everyone in Utah was as cool as Colorado and there weren't weird laws Utah would be way fucking crowded all the time, to the extent of a holiday weekend in Summit County shittyness.
I have started job hunting in Colorado, because I miss the people and culture. But, until I find something better than what I got going, I'll shred Utah pow with a shit-eating grin and love it.
