Long story short, going to breck in late January and I just moved to Austin (from east coast) and didn't bring any of my gear because I didn't think I would need it. Renting skis/boots/etc. isn't a problem but does anyone have any experience renting clothes (Jacket/pants)? Not sure if thats a thing but would appreciate any insight

Whatever you can find in the thrift store when you get there would be better than the rental shit.

you could try the classic “I lost a large black jacket and ski pants” at the lost and found

If it’s at all an option just have someone ship your stuff.

another possibility would be to abuse the rei returns and use your shit then return it and say it didnt fit right but that’s super scummy bad karma imo.

another option is buy a bunch of arcteryx shit save all the tags then reattach the tags after the trip and sell on ebay

Costco in Bozeman sells ski stuff, and you can return anything used or not. They have a nuts return policy.

my brother returned a 4 year old monitor and got a full refund to just get the newer one

Honestly renting jackets and pants will be interesting. The clothing itself will probably suck, not fit right. It would probably cost you at least 50 dollars to rent (just a guess). You could buy stuff cheap used for just a bit more. Also I am sure someone rents clothing, but I haven't really seem it. Like at the mountains near me, the rental people are skiing in sweat pants and stuff.

I'd say check places like TJ Maxx, it's hit or miss but you can find great shit sometimes. My main Oakley snow pants for years I got at TJ Maxx for like $30

I did happen to see something at Eddie Bauer yesterday about rentals for jackets etc so I guess it does exist, so do some googling if that interests you

I would hope nobody is renting clothes ever since the pandemic started... (or ever again, because GROSS)

There were a few rental shops around where I live that were doing rentals of goggles, gloves, and even baselayers in 2020, but they stopped during the pandemic...

Just have your stuff sent out, man.

Used clothing smell of FART!!

I forgot my coat the other day and tried to rent a coat from the counter. no they did not have one. so i had to buy a shitty $100 pull over hoodie.

RENT COATS!

I"d just go grab one at ROSS or something. if you get it cheap enough, you could just throw it away when ur done haha

buy used from re-cycle sport in Frisco

I returned a 5 year old couch to Costco before. We were moving and I figured it was easier to haul it back to the store instead of loading onto a moving truck. In my defense the cushions were sunken pretty bad which guess was a design flaw.
