Brian Teed[/b]Dear Newschoolers,
Over
the past year or so I've noticed something exquisite in my eyes about
the world of free skiing. Newschoolers has always been my way of passing
time, a way to get away. Since the first day of watching ski videos a
some 5 years ago, skiing was bogus. Videos of skiers who quite frankly
thought they were straight up thugs. And yes, I had my phase of that too
in the ski life. Seeing professional skiers throwing signs and gestures
at the camera just to be seen as the best. Now hate is a word my father
always scolded me about for using as a child, and I am grateful he did,
because I do not hate anything.
I love the "NEW" Newschoolers,
the transformed site that it has really turned into, or even skiing
itself. Edits, short movies, and films have turned skiing into a
perspective instead of statement. A way to express your vision of skiing
and capture it through a 21st century object, a video camera. An edit
is able to convey so much meaning. If a video is able to make my insides
crave for the vibe amplified from the edit, then that is something no
team sport will ever be capable of. This realization I had about skiing
and Newschoolers itself came in perfect timing. For an English class, my
professor assigned an essay that we were able to choose any topic that
was seen culturally in our minds. So I wrote this. And newschoolers,
thanks cause you guys and everyone in the ski community is headed in one
awesome direction.
Peace and love,
Brian Teed

Newschoolers.comDude!!!
You need to post this on the site as a news article. You should
also make a thread with exactly this message as the OP and point it to
the article. You've got some awesome thoughts here and it'd be a shame
to keep them in private!!
