Closest airport to mammoth??

The closest major one is Reno. There is a small airport in town that you can fly small planes into, but there is no commercial service to that airport.
Commercial flights from LA should start before next season with flights from San Fran and Vegas possibly added after that.

you can fly into Reno which is about 3 hours north, but is the closest.
Everytime i hear bout people fly into reno to go to mammoth it just confuses me. I mean you fly into an airport that is literally 30mins-an hour and 15 mins away from 17 ski resorts, but they drive 3 hours to the middle of nowhere for one (well ok two counting june).
Idk doesnt bother me cuz it keeps people away from Tahoe, just think its stupid.
