People need to realize that everything on this planet is interconnected in some little way and together we effect and shape what the earth is today. If you went back in time to 1600 in the US, the place would be covered in dense forest. We have reshaped the earth with roads, cities cars and taken away LOTS of forest which help in the recylcing of co2 and in return we have made millions of vehicals that pump out gases that were once taken in by the 300 million acres of forest ( accounts for the amount of forest covering the us in 1600) which no longer exists. How can it be more clear? If we take away what absorbs and clears the atmosphere of co2 and add more things that add co2 obviously there is going to be an excess.
Co2 gets also gets cycled into the ocean, because of the loss of forest the co2 sinks into the ocean causing the acidification of our oceans. This poses a problem for marine life and especially crustaceans since their shells are at risk of degrading with the raised acidity. Global warming isn't something that will quickly happen its a very slow process and its foolish to think that we have no impact on earth since its so big. Eventually we will turn things around. Air quality back in the 90s used to be worse than it is today. People were able to make derrastic changes in the emissions of aerosols and other pollutants because of cheaper technology. Once we find a cheap way to convert off of fossil fuels or when oil becomes to expensive everything will change.
I had a conversation with my friends dad about this and I got into such a big argument. He was trying to tell me forest fires and volcanoes account for global warming still after my reasoning.
