does it overheat? is it fine to use on your lap for an extended period of time, or does it get unbarable after like an hour?
 
it gets pretty hot but o where near unbearable....unless im out i usualy leave it on the chill pad neway...keeps it nice and coole
 
Mine gets super hot sometimes, it depends on what youre doing with it though... video stuff usually gets it way hot.

But just put it on a table, not your lap. Its a sweet computer.
 
My buddy has a G4 Powerbook, and he says normal use, it's about 55 degrees or so. But when he's jammin' in Photoshop and video editing, it's around 63-65 degrees.
 
for $25 you can get either a. a cool pad that has 2 fans that plug into usb that keeps it super cool but drains a little bit of battery, or b. get a riser pad thing that allows more air to get under the bottom and takes advantage of the built in fan, and doen'st waste any battery, both work well, go with A if you plug it in a lot, go with B if your using it a lot wihout an ac plug
 
pour icy cold pie-nade all over your keyboard to cool it off. Don't be a corperate whore and waste $20 and some stupid thermo-meter.
