Cleaning

So I got the Anomie Scuba Saga Jacket, and accidentally got some crap on it, I asked saga what I should use in the washing machine and they said to use NIXWAX. Is there a way to clean little splotches of crap on the jacket without using a WM. Thanks

spot clean if the stain doesn't come out and you still want to wash use nixwax but washing a nice coat is the last thing you want to do to it

Id try blue dawn dish soap (its magic), and course salt. Get it soapy, rub in the salt, wash.

It always works on the oil stains you get from lifts and grease stains you get from the cafeteria.

If by crap you mean poo, throw it in the wash. If by crap you mean something else, just wear it dirty, You don't need to look fresh and dapper to ski well.

Yes this is true. Washing WPB fabrics removes skin oils and sweat, clearing the porous part of the fabric. HOWEVER, if you have hard water or heavily chlorinated city water, you will mess your coat up worse than you are helping it.

Also, no matter what your water is like, only use NikWax cleaner/dwr replenish, or a similar outdoor fabric cleaner system.
