Clean Ipod

My dumb ass friend tossed my ipod to me and she landed it right into a bowl of fucking melted icecream.

If it was just water I would let it dry out, but I feel like i should somehow clean out the usb port and headphone jack.

Is there any way to do this? I havent turned it on yet.

+k For any help. I dont want my ipod to die :(

Look inline about how to take it apart safely. Then spray everything down with electrical contact cleaner. Hopefully that works.

Surprisingly urine does not effect electronics because of the iron in your blood so you can pee on it and it will clean it pretty well.

Well ipods do have a strong life. One of my friends lost his ipod on his lawn in october and he found it a few weeks ago and it works fine.

Don't listen to this kid. He doesn't even know how to spell "its." He must have some piss poor kangbang grammar.

Fucking hate that kid.

i dropped my phone in the toilet and i put it in rice for 2 days and now its fine . maybe take it apart clean the insides then rice

Definitely try to put that in a bag of rice. My sister has dropped her iphone in the toilet on several occasions and she usually been able to fix it. If its sticky from the ice cream then possibly wash it as best you can without getting to much water in the interior and then put it in a bag.

no the rubbing alcohol stings your penis hole when you put the q tip up there. it's better to use hydrogen peroxide

A Q-tip isn't going to do the trick if the sticky stuff worked its way into all the tiny areas. That is why I would use a can of electric contact cleaner. It is under pressure so you can blast it in there and clean the goo out. And it is just like rubbing alcohol where it wont hurt anything and dries really fast.

Yeah they're pretty strong. I had mine on the ski lift and dropped onto a cliff and it bounced into 4 feet of pow and i found it and it still works fine /claim

except ipod touch, i went through 5 of those suckers before the warranty expired (1 year)
before that i had a nano, 2nd gen, brick shithouse, survived two puddles and a wash cycle before it finally died of unknown causes 3 months later
