Classic Snoqualmie

tell your best classic snoqualmie stories, for example in january 2011(i think) it was 50 degrees and raining, IN JANUARY. also there were a bunch or bare spots in the middle of the season, the even funnier part is their website still said they had like a 65 inch base. Alpental is dope though, i love it.

Website says superpipe is cut and open. Drive up there. Mountain is socked in (no fault of theirs, obviously). Pipe is closed with snow boulders everywhere and walls that are non existent. Drove to Stevens.

hahaha if you got stranded at silver fir, I see why you didn't know about all the other days it snowed 10+ inches.

well i guess i could of taken the shuttle but at the time they didnt tell us that the lift was broken. they kept saying 5 more minutes

When I went there for Jib This Jib That and it drizzled heavily all day, and the rails got sticky so I caught an edge and got tossed on my ass and bruised my iliac crest so badly I could barely walk the next day.

When I worked at Webbski and they made you pay for the jacket, training, and a discounted pass; I made a net of $3 that season haha.

i worked for mini mountain. that was so relaxed. ed kiser is the man. look for that ponytail around alpy

Its the scummit, you can complain about it and go home crying with a dildo up your ass or you can sack up and hit some cheap ass rails and sketch jumps in the rain with your homies.

Then wait for that one baller day when the big lines open and the suns out but theres a million gapers on central express so you cut em all off in the side lines and they cant tell the difference cause theyre fucking gaping too hard. or when its straight nuking on alpy at day and theres not a single patroller or generic douche thatll tell you what the fuck you can or cant do on the hill. or having the entire set of mountains to yourself after 6 on any given day. thats classic

when you're night skiing at alpy and the one of the lights goes off while you are crusin pow at mach speed and you get reverse-clotheslined by an orange fence

I want to ski it now that Joe Pope is in the house.
And maybe I'll even get to watch Jamie and Rory rake out some rails.

Last time that happened it was actually a friday morning, which apparently fucking everyone from pullman to bremerton had got off work for. Oh well, the 3 runs I took that day were hands down my best of last season.

its not acutally that bad. the park is pretty good and theres alpental. not much good snow but whatever. thats what stevens and crystal are for

You do know Alpental gets almost exactly the same storm cycles as Stevens right? Crystal and Baker have different streams~

Ok, as painful as it is for me to say, Alpental does typically get a bit more snowfall than Stevens Pass. It is actually pretty wild to see just how similar they are all plotted out, but they are, indeed, every so slightly different.

They are also different in terms of temperature. Alpental is typically 6 to 7 degrees warmer on average than Stevens during the snow season. Since the quality is inferior and the quantity is negligibly more, Stevens wins.

Also, Snoqualmie has a disgusting habit of reporting Alpental's top depth as the "base" depth to various media outlets, which is pretty weak.
