I downloaded some old computer game and want it to work. there was an error when I tried to boot it up, "classic environment is no longer supported". how can I do this?
I have last years macbook pro if that matters, not too sure of the OS, assumably a newer one, but not snow leopard.

is that a program I can download? i did a quick search, but didn't find a link or much on it aside from a translator of powerpc something whatever.

i feel like rosetta should work on it. You have to enable rosetta somewhere in your preferences of your comp.

I haven't done it in a while and forget how.

Alright all you PC fanboys can leave with your stupid and useless comments. There is nothing wrong with either a mac or a pc, its all about preference.

the game is myst. I never played it while growing up and wanted to check it out. plus I have 10 hours of traveling tomorrow haha. no idea what x11 is, I'm pretty new to macs.

probably this ^ but X11 is built into your mac to handle certain programs that OSX can't, mainly unix based ones. Just do a search for X11 in apps and it should come up.

okay I found the program, but do you know the command to play the myst application/installation? I don't know unix or even where to begin.
